Day 2: An Orientation

Today was a happy day. I started my day with a breakfast in VRU canteen. There were halal foods there. To buy something there, we should use card that served by VRU canteen. It means that we should change our money with card. So, I bought cards 50 baht for breakfast this morning.

After having breakfast, we had an orientation with director of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU). The director welcomed us as the delegation of SEA Teacher from Indonesia and Philippines very kindly. In the end of orientation, Ms. Nina (coordinator of host university) announced the school that we are going to teach. I and my friend from UII got the same school. The school named Pakklong 2 Song School.  After orientation, Ms. Nina accompanied us to Pakklong song school to observe the school. We were so grateful to be placed in Pakklong song school because the school located beside mosque. There were many Muslim people there. At least, It won't be difficult to find halal food there. 

On the contrary, I think the school is still left behind other schools. The total of students are 66 students and the total of teacher are only 5 teachers. Not all of teacher can speak English clearly so that we are little bit difficult to communicate with them. The students also cannot understand English at all. I think I should learn Thai language little by little to make a conversation to each other easier.

Moreover, I want you to know that Pakklong song school is primary school and pre-school. It is actually not relevant with the level that I choose (secondary school), but it’s okay. I hope everything goes well.

In the other hand, I am so grateful for having very kind principle and teachers. They make everything easier. She takes care of us very well today even she buys for us a lot of foods for dinner and breakfast tomorrow. We cannot say anything; she is very kind. So, we call her ‘Mom’ as her request.
