Today, 17th August is the
independence day of Republic Indonesia. I went to the embassy of Indonesia in
Bangkok to join the independence day ceremony. Unfortunately, when I arrived
there, the ceremony had been finished. Long traffic jam had failed my agenda.
But it is okay. I still met a lot of people from Indonesia. It was very nice
moment when we meet others who are from same country with us in another
country, especially in special day like today. It feels like home. It feels
like we are a family. Of course, we are Indonesia. Furthermore, I also met my
friends from VRU (another participants of SEA Teacher batch 4th who
are assigned in VRU.

We also walked around Bangkok together. We had a lunch at food court of
Platinum mall that served halal food. And you know, the food is very delicious! After that, we bought some souvenirs and clothes. Some Thailand souvenirs are
sold quiet cheap there. We walked around Platinum mall until 4 pm.

For return to go home, we decided to use the
train. It was my first time to use the train in Thailand. We only need
to pay 37 baht to get the ticket that would bring us to Mochit station. When we
are in the train, we can see the outside view that is very beautiful. We can
see Bangkok city from the window of train. It was so nice!
