Day 4: The first Observation

Wednesday is sport day in Pakklong song school. All of students wore sport costume today. At 08.00 am the students are already in school yard to do morning ceremony

After morning ceremony, students entered the classroom to start the lesson. From observation today, I saw that students’ English skill in Pakklong song school was very low. Even they were still difficult to read the alphabet. When they were asked by teacher to say alphabet A to Z, they were able to say it quickly. Likewise, when they asked to say the number one to ten, they are able to say it quickly. However, when they were asked to read and write a sentence, they could not do it. They were immediately silent at that time because they did not understand the alphabet. I think they have just learned English by memorizing, not understanding and producing. They just know very basic of English language. I think it will be a challenging teaching practice for me. Therefore, every teacher should be creative and resourceful to choose the material for students. 

By the way, the students of Pakklong song school are so cute. They did some activities today such as practicing dance, brushing teeth, swimming, etc. I am so excited and amused with their behavior.

After students going back to home, I and my friend invited by teacher to go to markets. The first market that we visited was The market that sould many things with the average price 20 baht (I forget the name of the market). After that, we visited market that was no far from the first market. There were a lot of shops sould everything like foods, beverage, raw fish, fruits and vegetables, clothes, etc. It was very complete I think. 
Just a little tips for me to do not bring too much money to market, because a lot of things are sold cheaply! 5555. Moreover, if you are moslem, you should be careful because not all foods are halal. Maybe you should ask to  seller first to make sure that the foods that you are going to buy is halal.
